Accessibility

Refer to the accessibility notes under the Swatches section for general safe use of swatches that meet the minimum contrast ratio. If you have questions about contrast, refer to a tool like Accessible Colors(external link).

Ensure that any meaning conveyed through color is also conveyed in a format that is not purely presentational. e.g. Using the .text-danger class to indicate a warning is only helpful if the content also has the same tone. Additionally, the same warning may benefit from a warning icon for users who may not be able to distiguish by color alone.
